This Ashburn kitchen remodel was all about transforming a large, underutilized space into a stunning, functional hub for everyday living and entertaining. The homeowners wanted a much bigger kitchen with clearly defined zones—and we delivered by introducing two generously sized islands that serve both prep and seating purposes.

The focal point of the design is the custom arched plaster hood—expertly crafted from drywall and outfitted with integrated lighting—framing a high-end range and brass pot filler. The hood’s smooth curve brings a soft architectural elegance to the room and draws attention to the organic textures and finishes throughout.

Custom cabinetry in a warm neutral tone, paneled appliances, and natural wood floors bring balance and warmth, while the original ceiling beam was left exposed to preserve a sense of character and continuity. Brass fixtures and lighting accents elevate the overall aesthetic without overpowering the calming, organic palette.
